• The 68th National Film Awards go to Ajay Devgn and Suriya for Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Soorarai Pottru.

Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior, starring Ajay Devgn, was first released in 2020. It eventually went on to make a significant effect at the box office by surpassing the Rs. 100 crore threshold

. Following the movie's premiere, the COVID-19 epidemic put many countries into lockdown, which stopped all film production and screenings. Two years later, the movie has brought Ajay Devgn numerous awards. Devgn has actually received a national award for best actor for his performance in Tanhaji.

Suriya, who was also declared a winner for his role in the Tamil movie Soorarai Pottru, which was released in 2020, will share Ajay Devgn's National Award with him. 

It's interesting to note that Ajay has already received the National Award. In reality, the actor had already received the Best Actor prize for the movies Zakhm from 1998 and The Legend of Bhagat Singh from 2002.

In response to his historic victory, Ajay Devgn said, "I'm thrilled to share the Best Actor Award at the 68th National Awards with Suriya, who won for Soorarai Pottru. I extend my gratitude to everyone, but especially to my creative team, the audience, and my followers.

 Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior took up the national title for Best Entertainment-Providing Popular Film.Tanhaji truly was that. It is a heartwarming tale of friendship, fidelity, family principles, and sacrifice. 

Strong patriotic sentiments, incredible VFX, and an all-encompassing entertainment philosophy are there. I must split the honour with my co-stars, co-producers, T-Series, and director Om Raut. I want to thank my creative team, who have made a significant contribution to making this a hit and a National Award winner.

Bollywood its heartiest congrats to the actor, who is now very busy working on several different projects. Ajay's upcoming films include Maidaan, Thank God, Cirkus, Drishyam 2, and Bholaa.

However, South Asian movies like Soorarai Pottru (Tamil) and Ayyappanum Koshiyum (Malayalam) managed to sweep the 68th National Film Awards.
