Pakistani passport as 4th worst in the world

  • 20 July, Islamabad, Pakistan (ANI): The fourth-worst passport in the world, according to the Henley Passport Index, which assesses all 199 passports issued worldwide.
According to the recently released rankings, Pakistan is only placed above war-torn Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, which is in last place, according to Dawn.

Only 27 places are accessible to bearers of Afghan passports, the passport with the lowest score for visa-free travel. Iraqi and Syrian passport holders are only allowed entry into 29 and 30, respectively, among the world's least developed countries.

It is important to note that the Henley Passport Index for 2022 places Pakistani passports at the same level as it did the previous year, with access to just 32 places.

Japan took first place, with its citizens having access to 193 places using their passports. Following Germany and Spain, whose passports have a visa-free score of 190, come Singapore and South Korea, whose passports grant access to 192 nations.

Most of the top-ranked nations are from Europe, including the US and the UK.India is rated 87th out of all Asian nations, ahead of Tajikistan, Mauritius, and having access to 67 nations through its passport.

China shares the 69th position with Bolivia, and both countries' passports provide travel to 80 different places.According to the Henley Passport Index, Bangladesh is ranked 104th, five places higher than Pakistan, with access to 41 countries for bearers of its passport.

The rankings are determined by how many places their holders can travel to without a prior visa.

The rating, which was initially developed by Christian H. Kaelin (chairman of Henley & Partners), is founded on unique information from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which manages the largest and most precise database of travel-related data on the planet.

It was introduced in 2006 and offers 199 unique passports. (ANI).The ANI news service automatically produced this report.ThePrint is not liable for its contents.
