The University of Birmingham Hockey and Squash Center will host the women's field hockey competition for the 2022 Commonwealth Games from July 29 to August 7, 2022.
Tuesday's third pool match will be between the Indian women's team and England after they defeated Wales 3-1 in their second group stage match.
At the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, the India Women's Hockey Team defeated Wales 3-1 on Saturday, marking their second straight victory.
With six points after two games following this victory, India now holds the pool A lead. Gurjit Kaur gave India one more goal, but Vandana Katariya's two goals were the star of the show. In contrast, Xenna Hughes of Wales scored a goal.
India had a confident and strong start, but they were unable to gain ground in the first quarter. India maintained their composure, and it paid off when veteran striker Vandana scored the game's first goal in the 26th minute.
Vandana successfully diverted Gurjit's attempt at the penalty corner. Gurjit went on to extend India's lead in the game's 28th minute from a penalty corner.
With a 2-0 lead going into the second half, India kept up the same level of pressure on their opponents.
Despite the fact that the score was 2-1 at the end of the third quarter, Wales, who would not easily give up, were rewarded for their efforts.
Xenna Hughes converted the penalty corner in the very last second of the third quarter. India started the final period with the same attacking fervour and thanks to Vandana, who once more deftly deflected the ball from close range during Monika's attempt at PC, increased their lead to 3-1.
